JR (born 1983 in Paris, France) is a contemporary artist whose practice spans photography, public art, film making, and socially engaged projects. Over the past two decades, he has realized landmark public interventions and site-specific installations in cities across the world. Underlying the film work presented here is JR’s long-standing social practice: through community participation, expansive ideas are translated into intimate human moments.
