Shen Chen

Shen Chen was born in 1955 in Hangzhou, China. He graduated from the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1982 and later moved to the United States in 1989. Shen is known for his abstract paintings that explore the relationship between Eastern and Western art traditions. His work often incorporates traditional Chinese painting techniques with contemporary practices, creating a dialogue between cultures. He has exhibited widely in both solo and group exhibitions across the United States and internationally, with his works held in various public and private collections.
