Biography
Yushi LI (b. 1991, Hunan, China) is an artist based in London, where she has lived and worked since 2016. In 2024, she completed her PhD in Arts and Humanities at the Royal College of Art. Notable accolades include her selection as a Foam Talent and shortlisting for the PhMuseum Photography Grant (2022). In 2019, she was named one of the RPS Hundred Heroines and a finalist for the Human Rights Photography Prize. Her work is held in collections such as the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung (Munich), UK Parliament Heritage Collection, The House of KOKO, and Soho House (London). Li’s exhibitions include solo presentations: The Drifting Desire (Eyecandies, Shanghai, 2022), Paintings, Dreams and Love (Fotogalleri Vasli Souza, Oslo, 2021), Women Act, Men Appear (Union Gallery, London, 2020), and Your Reservation Is Confirmed (Fotogalleri Vasli Souza, Malmö, 2019).
