Around Space, founded in 2006, is dedicated to discovering and promoting both established and emerging forces in Chinese contemporary art. The gallery develops its program in parallel—supporting the collection and promotion of mature artists while also identifying and nurturing younger talents—gradually establishing a clear cultural standard and system of collecting value.
In recent years, the gallery has focused on introducing outstanding Chinese artists and their works to a broader art market and a more far-reaching artistic context. Since 2017, it has also begun representing important established artists from Europe and the United States, fostering a more elevated international dialogue in Shanghai and offering local audiences fresh perspectives and more comprehensive ways of thinking.
