BANK

Founded in 2013 as a curatorial studio in Shanghai’s historic Bund district, BANK has developed into an internationally active commercial gallery and cultural platform connecting China with the global art ecosystem. Now located in the former residence of He Dong in central Shanghai, BANK expanded to New York in 2025, strengthening its transnational presence.

BANK produces exhibitions, publications, and art fair presentations, alongside educational initiatives and cultural advisory services for institutions and private clients. The gallery works in close dialogue with artists, collectors, curators, and institutions, fostering artistic development and cross-regional cultural exchange. Since its founding, BANK has earned international critical recognition for its programming and curatorial direction and is increasingly recognized as a key platform for contemporary art practice and discourse across Asia and the United States.

Mathieu Borysevicz is the founder of BANK/MABSOCIETY, established in Shanghai in 2013 as a gallery and curatorial platform with an international scope. His work has focused on long-term artistic development, research-driven exhibitions, market and cross-cultural exchange between Asia, Europe, and the United States.
