BAO ROOM

BAO ROOM is located on the top floor of No. 396 Wukang Road, within Shanghai’s Hengfu Historic Conservation Area. Together with other spaces in the same complex—72 Tang · Shanghai, The Host Is Absent, the Wunan 396 terrace, and the rooftop garden—it forms a multidimensional venue that integrates commerce, art, and public events.

The building at 396 Wunan Road was formerly the site of the SDX Joint Publishing Company. Situated within the Hengfu Historic and Cultural Area, it carries the metaphor of “Chinese modernity,” bearing witness to the interweaving of an ancient civilization with the processes of modern urbanization.
