Han Qian: Treading Paths Swelling with Soft Grass will be presented by ShanghART Gallery at Suhe from September 11 to October 24, 2026, displaying the artist's video and installation works created in the past three years.

Often starting from subtle and accidental clues, Han Qian’s creations maneuver between images, sounds, and objects, where these originally scattered remnants continually draw near each other, pointing to experiences that cannot be completely restored but continue to persist. Whether it is the geographical coordinates replaced and mispointed in history, the overlapping images and sounds from different timespaces within the same video, or the exploration of flexible materials, the artist brings back those hidden experiences into presence with residual bodily imprints and fragile materials. These objects and traces are carriers of private memories and wrinkles and marks left by history on the flesh, through the reorganization of historical archives, oral texts, and material fragments, Han attempts to present those individual experiences squeezed and forgotten by linear historical narratives.
