Li Qinyang: The Sting

ShanghART presents Li Qinyang’s solo exhibition “The Sting” at ShanghART SUHE from March 20 to April 30, 2026. The exhibition brings together a group of mixed-media installations created over the past three years. Taking the spatial structure of the “home” as an underlying thread, the exhibition subtly weaves the emotional tensions of memory, bodily experience, and intimate relationships into its materials and spatial arrangements. Through the layering and concealment of image fragments, everyday objects, and decorative patterns, Li establishes a restrained and unhurried visual order between cold metal and soft fabric. Within these seemingly tranquil structures, fragility and latent harm intertwine, allowing the long-submerged sting of everyday experience to surface once again.
