LIU Ren & ZHANG Ruyi: Everything is on time, only time was never ours.

From March 22 to June 21, 2026, Yuz Museum Shanghai presents the two-person exhibition Everything is on time, only time was never ours. by Shanghai-based artists Liu Ren and Zhang Ruyi. The exhibition is curated by Yuz Museum and developed in close collaboration with the two artists.

Structured around a spatial logic jointly conceived by Liu and Zhang, the exhibition brings together nearly 50 groups of works, tracing the trajectories of their respective artistic practices. Their shared visual sensibilities and emotional undertones allow the works to resonate with and draw upon one another, forming an open field for observing how individuals within the contemporary metropolis respond to—and reflect upon—their own conditions of existence.
