Moon River: On a Slow Boat to… adopts psychogeographic walking and the experiential rubbings of auto-ethnography as its methodological lens, exploring how the experience of migration is transformed from a physical displacement into an enduring internal mechanism—one that reshapes perceptions of time, reorders systems of value, and leaves enduring traces of cultural disappearance within individual modes of perception and memory.

Beginning with their own lived experiences as points of observation and artistic inquiry, the participating artists employ practices of documentation, revisitation, and re-narration to examine how subjects living under conditions of the “new diaspora” negotiate belonging, sustain relationships, and cultivate an ongoing understanding of their own cultural position amid uncertainty.
