RUIPIN GALLERY

RUIPIN GALLERY, founded in 2018, is dedicated to the presentation, promotion, and distribution of photographic art. The gallery represents works by a number of important Chinese artists, and in recent years has also increasingly focused on supporting emerging talents with strong potential. Located in Shanghai’s M50 Creative Park, the gallery occupies approximately 150 square meters and includes both an exhibition space and a print production studio. It also engages in the design, production, and publication of photobooks.

Chen Liang, Chen Yuchen, Gu Huaye, Gu Zheng, Lu Yuanmin, Ma Liang, Qin Siqi, Shi Wenbin, Xu Haifeng, Zhu Hao, and Zhou Yang

In addition to his well-known Suzhou River series, Lu Yuanmin also created the Shanghainese series, which offers an intimate view of the city’s urban fabric. Two classic works from this series will be presented, both of which have been shown in major exhibitions multiple times and collected by collectors in China and abroad. Gu Zheng, who holds multiple academic roles in the field of photography, will present April Days, 2003 and a work from his early Shanghai Sketches series. Xu Haifeng’s Shanghai Expressions at the Turn of the Century focuses on the urban and psychological landscape of a city and its people during a moment of historical transition, alongside March 4, 2015, Beijing.
